Membership

The website is integrated with a database of contacts and members. Only the names and email addresses of current members have been copied from the previous membership database. 

Members administer their own online profiles:

  • First and last names
  • Email subscription choices
  • Mailing address for printed copies of The Cardinal (optional)

Features that used to be protected by an annual member password now require members to log in with their email addresses and chosen passwords. 

A full member may add up to four members to their "bundle". Any of them with an email address can access member-only website content and register for member-only events. 

Registering for Events

There are the following categories of events:

  • External event with no registration required (a simple announcement)
  • External event with registration or payment handled by the event host
  • Nature London event with no registration required 
  • Nature London event for members and non-members, registration required
  • Nature London event for members only, registration required
  • Nature London event for members only, payment required

The first time a non-member registers for a Nature London event, they must create a contact record and agree to Nature London's liability and photography waiver. After the event, they will be invited to join Nature London. 

Questions

Why do I need to login?

Features that used to be protected by an annual member password now require members to log in with their email addresses and chosen passwords. 

Events for members only require one to login.

What payment options are supported?

Online, e-transfer, and cheques

When will members receive renewal notices?

Most memberships are for 12 months, starting each September 1st. The website will start sending email reminders from 30 days before the renewal date. The reminder emails will repeat until payment is received. 

How do I cancel my membership?

Members cannot cancel their own membership but they can stop recurring membership fees or choose not to renew their membership. If a member wants their membership stopped immediately, an administrator can manually suspend their membership.

What if I need assistance accessing my account?

That depends on the problem you are having:

        • I forgot my account name. >>> It is your email address
        • I forgot (or was never told) my password. >> Follow the instructions to reset your password.

How can I subscribe or unsubscribe from emails?

Login and update your online profile.
